Yeast Bistronomy Bangsar

Posted by Eat Cake Today on

There’s no better way to rise in the morning than to the smell of freshly baked goods and a wam cuppa. Bringing the neighborhood of Bangsar a collection of traditional French artisinal breads and pastries is Yeast Bistronomy, a cosy little establishment that has expanded its space – and our waistlines – into a succesful dual concept bakery and bistro favorited by pastry and pasta lovers alike.

Founded by Christophe Chatron-Michaud and wife Lissan Teh, Yeast skips the pleasantries of overwhelming chaos in design, and dives headfirst into the charm of simply serving classic French beloveds, from crusty baguettes made for the sharing, to melt-in-your-mouth brioches lining the shelves, to puffs and pastries that enthral the tastebuds in a comforting familiarity, much like a hug on a rainy Sunday arvo. And when you think it’s all over, the experience broadens into a sweet selection of desserts, from fruit tarts baked in crisp and buttery shells, to light delights like the Lemon Tea cake and Earl Grey Tea cake, to Orange Financiers and gorgeous macarons to bring back for the colleagues and brighten someone’s day.

The warm, rustic colors that complement the black and white tiled floors, the gleen and glisten of pastries by the window, the many aromas that bring together the clanking of plates and the laughter of friends, it’s no wonder the appeal of Yeast Bistronomy is still as strong as ever. So leave your inhibitions by the door, and check into Bangsar’s best-kept secret.

Yeast Bistronomy is located at 24, Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar, 59100 Kuala Lumpur, and opens from 8am to 10pm.
