Project C aka Project Cake Therapy

Posted by Eat Cake Today on

Decadence has a name, and it’s Project Cake Therapy. Known as Project C for short, this little bakery does everything but fall short in delivering cakes that spoil the soul in all forms of indulgence. Initially a small collaboration between myBurgerLab and home baker Mei Ling, Project C has quickly erupted into a fanbase that goes above and beyond the many cafes that house her creations.

Some of Project C’s popular orders include Rosy Mango, a blissfully light and aromatic combination of rose-scented cake and airy mango mousse, and the After 8 tart, dark chocolate paired with fluffy peppermint meringue top on a buttery crust. Project C also serves up a mean rendition of the usual crowd pleasers, from the likes of carrot cake, to the zest in a lemon meringue tart, and creates a mean myriad of customised cakes for the celebrating.

Mei Ling also adores making cakes that are all about that homegrown tastes of Malaysia. So far, there’s been the The Tarik Cheesecake with hints of black tea, the Black Sesame Cheesecake with its signature pink heart swirls, and the Grean Tea brownie, a familiar favorite to regular patrons of mBL. But what Project C is most famous for is the ultra delicious, creatively smooth, tastefully nostalgic Tofufah Cheesecake, a silky mix of tofu and cheesecake served with Gula Melaka syrup and a piece of crystallized ginger for that added local touch.
