Tackling the streets of Cheras may be daunting to say the least, but thanks to Zest Patisserie (and a good GPS system), we got closer to achieving that extra zest in our week!
Most customers visit this unassuming cafe for their amazing charcoal waffles, with topping such as salted egg yolk, caramel popcorn, durian ice cream, and cendol, but Zest Patisserie also offers a range of refined, French-inspired desserts at affordable prices. Some of the sophisticated cakes available on a daily basis are a milk chocolate earl grey mousse with mango cremeux, a vanilla sponge with white chocolate thyme mousse and kumquat coulis, a pear mousse tarts with almond frangipane and caramel cremeux, a red wine berry ganache with raspberry mousse on a chocolate tart, and matcha dacquiose with coconut mousse and passionfruit cremeux. Zest also produces beautifully baked cheese tarts, aromatic and deep in flavor, as well as light and chewy macarons to surprise the office with. Needless to say, there’s more to Zest than meets the eye.
