I had ordered a customised vegan Durian cake for a special birthday from Cake Hub. This is a repeat order of the same as last year's, which was excellent and exactly to spec. This time round, instead of a 2-layer cake as specified, I was given a 3 layer cake. Instead of fresh filling in between layers (again as specified), all I got was durian flavoured cream albeit non-dairy. The thin layer of fresh durian topping did not make up for it. Needless to say, the birthday girl - a durian fanatic - was disappointed. Perhaps the order was not properly understood even though it was repeated twice and confirmed, and all in writing too. Finally, the cake did not arrive at said 2 hour window and this properly spoiled the surprise it was meant to be. All in, not great.
