Once Upon A Table

In the grand scheme of making fairytales come true, Once Upon A Table is a Singaporean bakeshop that takes pride in creating the fun and whimsy out of everyday dreams. Established by Fides Chua, a pastry chef trained by Le Cordon Bleu Tokyo, and her partner Thea Tan, Once Upon A Table plays homage to their combined love of cakes.

Part of a little nook in Lucky Heights, Once Upon A Table generally caters to custom orders and bespoke cake designing, but opens its doors to the public on weekends. The range of baked goods served by this modest shop includes the likes of a delightfully fluffy Chocolate Chip cake, dense and delicious slices of Blueberry Yogurt and Cranberry Orange loafs, an aromatic Earl Grey Salted Caramel cake, and even a soft and airy Japanese cheesecake.  The list just grows from there, from a beautifully layered Maple Syrup cake with buttercream, to an Earl Grey cake with honey buttercream, to a gorgeously decadent Valrhona chocolate cake that will bring your chocolate cravings to a happy halt. On top of an amazing variety of cakes, Once Upon A Table also bakes adorable cookies to suit any occasion, from Star Wars characters, to animal shaped nibbles, to Chinese New Year and Christmas cookies.
