Joanne Yeong, Head Pastry Chef to Madeleine’s team of talented pastry makers and graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, achieved the title of Pastry Chef of the Year 2015 at the World Gourmet Summit, and that title alone vouches for Madeleine’s high standards of quality products.
Madeleine Bistro dishes out a myriad of desserts, from bright and vibrant macarons, to sweet as candy cupcakes, to sinfully fudgy brownies. Choosing from their displays of scallop-edged, glass-encased delectables will be a tough task, but you can’t go wrong with the Red Velvet cake, poised and pretty in its red and white layers of moist cake and cream cheese, or the coffee butter Barista cake in all its addictively rich glory, or even the Poppyseed Cake, a light and fluffy ending to a heartily satisfying meal.
