Apart from meeting customers' demands, Eat Cake Today also allows local home bakers and café to showcase their unique sweet offerings-allowing for the healthy competition of maintaining quality or exceeding customers expectations. From customer service and bakers to delivery, the staff are connected to the platform's system on their smart devices to help streamline the processing and fulfilment of orders.

Whether it is for a birthday party, wedding, corporate event or other occasions, customers can order cakes to be sent to locations in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya. Overseas customers may also place orders for their family and friends who live in the delivery areas. Surprising loved ones on their birthdays, even when you are half a world away, is then a piece of cake.

For those who want something more personalised for special occasions such as engagement parties and bridal and baby showers, the portal welcomes customised requests but requires at least four working days' notice. It also caters for special diets such as vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free.

The delivery options are 4-hour, 1-day, 2-day, 3-day and weekend, but customers may order over a week or even a month in advance. Customers are charged RM 10 for delivery but woebetide if no one is there to accept the cake. They are then charged RM 30 for re-delivery.
