Death By Chocolate Cake
Death by Chocolate is a favourite cake among family. Each time there's a birthday, this will be our go to cake.
Of course it will be sweet, decadent and moist. However what made the cake great is it got the trinity right... ganache + moist sponge + perfect, not cloying, sweetness with a dark chocolate bitter aftertaste. None of that mousse nonsense. High enough standard for you chocolate cake aficionados. It does have that strange aftertaste I can't quite figure out...cherry? But not glaring enough. Will def buy it again
Some may find this cake overwhelming, but One MUST always remember that decadent cakes must be SLOWLY SAVOURED. Not devoured in haste. We discovered that the cake tasted even better with Champagne. So sip your drink of choice, a dark tea is also a good option and nibble on this rich moist delicacy. One bite at a time.
sincerely, i love this type of cake however, my other colleague doesn't. it's bitter & sweet the same time and perhaps their tongue unable to tolerate it. Good for me, i ate all their portion and bring home some. I TRUEEEEEEELY enjoy the cake indeed !!
