Not to be a killjoy, but…
...here are a couple of things you should know upfront before you proceed with your order.
► The contact number reflected in the 'Shipping Address' portion of your checkout will be contacted on the day of delivery. Please ensure that this is the recipient's number.
► During delivery, should the recipient be unavailable to receive the items, deliveries with re-delivery attempt will incur an additional charge of RM30.
► Specific to gift context –– through PayPal's payment option, the 'Shipping Address' (recipient) will overwrite the 'Billing Address' (sender). This is a limitation PayPal recognizes but it cannot be fixed. Even so, the recipient will not have any visibility to the invoice/receipt/bill nor will they receive any form of paper trail; as long as your email, the shopper/the gifter/the sender, is filled in this portion:
► Very rarely does it occur, but should ordered cakes become unavailable, we will make it up to you with the next best tasting cake – of matching value.
► Once orders are received, there is no turning back. What this means is, refunds or changes to the orders will not be possible.
► No changes to orders are possible if they are less than 24-hours.
► A hefty penalty fee applies to changes with less than 24-hours notice as the order would have been prepared and is scheduled to be shipped.
► There are different lead times required to make the cake, it ranges from 4-hours to 3-days. Planning your orders while observing the lead times will ensure timely delivery.
► Charges apply anywhere between RM6.95 to RM25.
► A photograph of the cake with the recipient may be snapped at the point of delivery drop-off to ensure that
- we have the person on file who has received the cake (whether it is the customer or someone collecting on their behalf)
- the cake is delivered in one whole piece (unless of course, you prefer them in slices)
► As Poslaju would require mail recipients to provide IC details upon collection, in a similar manner, the delivery provider Eat Cake Today works with will require customers to provide their identification details as an acknowledgment of goods received in good condition.
COURTESY REMINDER
If you intend to send a surprise cake to a recipient on their birthday, our observation tells us that they tend to take time off. So be sure to check if they will be in on that very fine day!
If you would like for us to leave the cake at any guard house, please ensure there is a fridge for food storage purposes. Otherwise, the lovingly baked cakes will end up getting attacked by a legion of ants. #TRUESTORY
