While the icing and cake were good, there was too much icing. In the end, many could not finish their cake and scraped off the icing instead. I love the icing but I have to agree that there was too much of it, which overpowered the cake and spoiled the enjoyment of the guests.
The carrot cake looked good but taste wise was unexpected. The icing is buttercream only, no cream cheese (usually paired with carrot cakes). I think this misunderstanding was on my part as I did not read the description properly.
